N°21 AW20 WOMEN’S COLLECTION

In the setting of its ‘Garage’ in Milan, N°21 sent down the catwalk a collection that celebrates the brand's first 10 years. For the show, creative director Alessandro Dell’Acqua staged the key elements of his research: minimalism, elegance and sensuality. Top model Saskia de Brauw opened the show, wearing a men’s striped shirt and an embellished coat. Sensuality was the recurring element of this show, and it was conveyed by the bare legs that we often see on the catwalk. Accessories were enriched by a chain, that was almost tied around the models’ body, as a sign of affective attachment rather than belonging. Cardigans were oversized and confused the show’s attendees, at times pretending to be warm coats and at others, delicately fragile nightgowns."The main idea, for me, was a woman who doesn't allow social roles to oppress her, force her to stereotypes and who, by mixing proportions and other aspects, manages to live/express her attitude in a better and truer way”, said the Neapolitan designer. An absolutely elegant, trendy show, where the maximum expression of minimalism gives life to a totally perfect collection.
