The idea that Thomas Burberry had in 1856 when he decided to found his brand, it was to create clothing items that mainly serve to protect themselves from the cold weather conditions of the United Kingdom. Today Burberry is a fashion house that with its new creative director Riccardo Tisci aims to be one of the first leading companies in fashion. In his first collections, Tisci focuses on the two main reasons of the fashion house: the tartan and the trench coat. The trench, created in 1914, is precisely the iconic piece for the fashion house and every season is reinvented according to the trends of the moment. Burberry is the first brand in the world to embrace the philosophy of "see now, buy now": therefore some pieces of the collection are available online immediately after being presented on the catwalk.
