HERON PRESTON AW20 MEN’S AND WOMEN’S COLLECTION

In the setting of PFW-Paris Fashion Week, American-born creative Heron Preston presented the men's and women’s collection, for Autumn-Winter 2020/21, by the brand that bears his name. A proposal aiming to reinterpret workwear in a process that starts with reconstruction walked down the catwalk. In fact, among printed sweatshirts, camo trousers and outerwear with zips and pockets, we witnessed the meeting between style and functionality. On a chromatic level, being the common thread was the colour neon orange, that’s been identifying the Heron Preston collections since the early days. Moreover, for the occasion Preston collaborated with the Royal Air Force, proposing the official crests in a rubberised version. Lastly, as to accessories, the heavyweight chains worn around the neck, waist or even crossbody completed the creative vision of the young designer. The proposal that, among all, we liked the most? The recycled GORE-TEX suit that closed the show, a symbol of the philosophy behind this collection.
