Genius, tradition, irreverence and technological innovation. Those are the main traits of the British brand founded in 1992 by the ‘enfant terrible’ Lee Alexander McQueen, who back then was a young graduate of the renown, London university Central Saint Martins. Among skulls, leather, swallows and men’s tailoring, McQueen succeeded, collection after collection, in making himself known and appreciated. In fact, he turned and turned the tables, without ever forgetting his concept of ‘masculinity’. Starting from 2010, at the creative direction of this iconic brand, we can find British designer Sarah Burton, already in charge of the women’s collections. She is preserving the identity of the maison, reinterpreting the great wardrobe staples in a dark-gothic way and carrying on the vision of the founder with loyal perseverance.
