The aesthetic of the future is ‘agender’

‘Genderless’, ‘no gender’ or ‘gender neutral’. These are the words more commonly used to refer to a trend that’s lead to a revolution as aesthetic as cultural in the name of inclusivity. Lately gender fluid fashion, that’s clothes and accessories breaking down the barrier between the men’s and women’s wardrobe, has taken on a major relevance. Promoting and supporting issues such as the protection of individuality, self-acceptance and freedom of expression. If up until recently seeing a man in a skirt, a pair of earrings and heels called for an effort of imagination, today the psychological barriers deriving from the clear separation between genders imposed by the traditional society seem to have dissipated.
