Safari ride time

Think and imagine scenes from the ‘Jurassic Park’ movie, or a ride through Animal Kingdom at the Walt Disney World’s theme park. This is the safari ride that many designers explored for the Spring-Summer 2020 women’s collections. In fact, we saw the tried and true muted colours, that are typically associated with this theme, walk down the catwalk: shades of tan, greens and browns. Burnt orange to tangerine, animal to tropical flower prints and the classic floppy safari hat weren’t forgotten, all making a huge appearance. Especially seen on Dolce& Gabbana’s runway, as creative directors Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana showcased, along with Max Mara, looks of ‘safari suiting’, without all the patches. Not to be missed was the hottest young faces ruling the catwalks, both in attendance at the Alberta Ferretti show: Bella Hadid and Kaia Gerber. Where the safari theme continued in a modernised seventies influence with pieces such as stretchy high-waisted flare pants, and tiny bra tops. This season be influenced to create your own safari look to conquer the jungle, the jungle of life!
